Stanleybet Group inaugurates the first international support centre in Bucharest.

Stanleybet International Group today launched its first international support centre based in Bucharest. With an initial investment of 500.000 RON the centre will provide customer care services in German, Greek, Danish and English languages to Stanleybet customers from Germany, Cyprus and Denmark. This will generate 29 new jobs. The centre will serve as the basis to offer further support for all the other countries where Stanleybet operates.

The opening ceremony was performed by His Excellency, Mr. Martin Harris, Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Romania and by Mr. David Purvis, CEO of Stanleybet, who proudly inaugurated the new centre.

"One of the great advantages Romania has is the quality of its people, and Stanleybet is using that asset to promote their business through the whole Central European region. I am confident that other major British companies will follow its example in expanding their operations here", stated Mr. Martin Harris, Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Romania.

"From our point of view, Romania represents an important part of our service-based objectives. We value the opportunity to access high level multilingual and technology skills in Bucharest. In this current difficult economic climate, Stanleybet once again shows its strength in supporting developing countries in Europe through investment and job creation. Our call centre in Bucharest will provide support to our existing operations across 8 countries and more, as we expand our international presence. The Stanleybet Team sincerely hopes that our continued commitment in Romania will be met with approval and optimism as part of a bright future for both Stanleybet and Romania", said David Purvis, CEO of Stanleybet.

The Stanleybet Group is present in Romania through 320 agencies, operating under the Stanleybet international licence. One of the main goals of the Group’s development plans is the extension of the call centre services to offer support for online operations, including those in Romania, scheduled to begin during this year, as soon as the operating licence is obtained.

The Stanleybet Group is the leading retail sports betting Company in Europe with over 2,000 outlets employing over 3,000 people all across Europe (Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Poland and Romania).
